Originally the “Hotel De Londres” in honour of the English guests who frequented the Gran Paradiso and Italianised to “Miramonti” under Fascism, in 1941 it hosted the glorious Juventus team for three weeks in the run-up to the Serie A Championship. Looking out over the lawn and the vast mountains, which Giò Pomodoro enjoyed observing from the elegant garden, the hotel was enlarged and renovated with great style and vintage furnishings. It still houses the trophies that King Vittorio Emanuele III gave to grandfather Celestino in 1906 after a hunt. Third generation of a sixteenth-century Valle d’Aosta family.
