A journey back in time among 1920s counters, works of art and ancient skylights. There is all the charm of Libertystyle in the Caffè delle Rose Bistrot in Verbania, recently the subject of a painstaking renovation project that has restored it to its former glory. In fact, it was right here that the Caffè pasticceria Milanese had its premises at the beginning of the 20th century: the original early 20th-century furnishings made by 'Giovanni Galfetti e figli' based in Como can still be found inside, as can be read in two inscriptions stamped into the woodwork. Starred cuisine (the menu is signed by Michelin-starred chef Max Celeste) and fine wines, served in what was once the icebox, complete the atmosphere of history and refinement that you can breathe here.
