A historic milestone for a member of Locali Storici: a Michelin star for Le Petit Bellevue in Cogne
It is with immense pleasure that we celebrate today a moment that marks a turning point for our network: one of our members, Le Petit Bellevue, has been awarded its first star in the 71st edition of the Michelin Guide Italy.
This accolade is not merely a success for the restaurant; it is a mark of quality, passion and dedication that reflects the values which drive our Association: to promote and celebrate excellence, history and the culture of fine food and Italian hospitality, especially when linked to places with a strong identity deeply rooted in the local area.
The context: what does a Michelin star mean today?
The 2026 Michelin Guide, presented at the Teatro Regio in Parma, has awarded 22 new stars to restaurants across Italy.
Among these, the inclusion of Le Petit Bellevue should be seen not only as recognition of the quality of its cuisine and service, but also as a sign of the vitality and renewal of Italian gastronomy: young kitchen teams, fresh ideas, a skilful use of ingredients, and dining environments that successfully blend elegance, history and modernity.
A Michelin star is much more than just a title: it is an invitation to ‘worth the journey’, a way of telling travellers that a particular restaurant is worth a detour, that it is worth planning a visit, and that there is something special to savour. For those who run a restaurant, it signifies recognition of their commitment, quality and consistency. For us at Locali Storici, it is confirmation that our concept of ‘hospitality with roots’ continues to bear fruit.
Reasons for the award: Le Petit Bellevue and its journey
According to the official announcement, the star was awarded to Le Petit Bellevue in a very significant year: the year in which the Hotel Bellevue, of which the restaurant is a part, is celebrating its centenary.
The Michelin Guide jury has recognised the team led by chef Niccolò De Riu, alongside pastry chef Andrea Gandolfo, sommelier Rino Billia and maître fromager Roberto Novali: a young but highly skilled team that combines experience, sensitivity, respect for tradition and a contemporary approach.
These words resonate deeply with us: they speak of memory, identity, continuity and values that have always underpinned our mission at Locali Storici.
A word of thanks and a commitment to the future
On behalf of the entire Associazione Locali Storici d’Italia, we would like to thank the staff at Le Petit Bellevue – the chef, the kitchen team, the manager and the Roullet family – for carrying out this project with passion, dedication and a love of tradition and authentic hospitality.
But alongside our thanks, we wish to reaffirm a commitment: to continue to celebrate and promote the beauty of Italy – not just the big names, but those historic establishments that tell a story, that have a soul, and that offer something more than just a dish: an experience, a connection to the local area, and a memory to be passed down through the generations.
